The Melton Street surfers Inc. is a non profit organization which seeks to enhance the lives of the youth in our community by providing a safe environment while helping to develop self-esteem, teamwork skills and self discipline.
The Melton Street Surfers Inc. will be managed by volunteers who are committed to the pursuit of excellence and equality of opportunity for our youth.
Have you ever wondered what happens on the streets of Melton Shire, Bacchus Marsh and surrounding areas on a Friday and Saturday night?
We, Melton Street Surfers Inc. , are a group of ordinary people from many and varied walks of life, we have people who work in sales, hospitals, shops, students, transport and professional persuasions.
We care what is happening on Friday and Saturday nights in our community and we have the motivation and get up and go to do something about it -
Over the years there have been many problems confronting the youth of the so-called outer fringe suburbs. No facilities, no money, single parent families and in some areas, low socio-economic groups.
Generally this affects the age groups between twelve to eighteen years. Groups of teenagers wandering the streets with seemingly nowhere to go and nothing to occupy time. Along comes the “Street Surfer” concept.
The concept was developed in Sunshine by Senior Constable John Reader of Victoria Police and is run with the aid of a group of volunteers.
The idea was taken up by Pat Hill in Sunbury who developed what is now called the ‘Sunbury Street surfer’ otherwise known as ‘Pat’s Bus’.
These buses are out on the streets mainly on a Friday night, however both John and Pat manage to do quite a bit of work with schools and community groups during the week also.
The aim is to give purpose to those who are in need and to stimulate the lives of teenagers.
A group of like minded people in Melton (too many to mention), have grabbed the concept and are developing it for the needs of the Melton Shire and Bacchus Marsh District Communities and their teenage populations.
Currently we have a bus, which is in the process of being fitted out to suite the areas needs.
We would like to invite you, members of our community, to participate in this very worthwhile project by assisting either financially or by donation of either goods or services.
You too can have the satisfaction in making our communities a better place to raise our families. We look forward to your sponsorship (in whatever form that may take).
On the following pages we have detailed various levels of sponsorship for your information and consideration.
Various levels of sponsorship are available and may be by donations of money, goods or services.
Sponsors who wish to actively participate and/or contribute in the actual operation of the Melton Street Surfers Inc. bus, will be encouraged to come along and be part of our team.
Our sponsorship levels start at the Platinum through to bronze.

PLATINUM
PACKAGE:
This level is for donations $4,000 and above.
The sponsor at this level will receive regular newsletters, a framed certificate of recognition for their sponsorship, a plaque inside the bus and also recognition by way of their name added to the sponsors list on the back of the bus.
All sponsors of the Platinum level will also have their business logo painted in a prominent position on the outside of the bus and will have access to advertising space on all newsletters, flyers and any other printed materials produced by Melton Street Surfers Inc.
GOLD
PACKAGE:
This level is for all donations $1,000 to $4,000.
The sponsor at this level will receive regular newsletters, a framed certificate of recognition of their sponsorship, a plaque inside the bus and also recognition by way of their name added to the sponsors list on the back of the bus.
SILVER
PACKAGE:
This level is for all donations $250 to $1,000.
The sponsor at this level will receive regular newsletters, a framed certificate of recognition of their sponsorship and also a plaque inside the bus.
BRONZE
PACKAGE:
This level is for all donations $50 to $250.
The sponsor at this level will receive regular newsletters, and a framed certificate of recognition for their sponsorship.
